The First Jeep Wrangler Accessories You’ll Need
There’s nothing like the freedom of the road. Except for the freedom of leaving the road behind in the iconic off-roading beast, the Jeep Wrangler. From ducks to hinge covers to secret compartments, the modifications are never-ending. Jumping into a new Jeep is like diving headfirst into a brand-new world of self-expression. Here’s a list of the top Jeep Wrangler Accessories I use every day.

The Visor Repair Kit
The Sun Visor Repair Kit
So small, so mighty. Such a worthwhile investment into my Jeep.
When the sun visor fell off during my test drive, I laughed it off as a quirk of an easily modified car. After buying it and driving away, it didn’t take long before this “quirk” became an annoyance. It didn’t just fall down occaisionally. It also blocked my vision, and gave me a heart attack every time I hit a pot hole. (Have you seen these roads lately?!) Soon that annoyance became a hazard, and the visor ended up under my seat.
Enough was enough. I had had it and begun my search to figure out exactly how to solve this ridiculous problem. Thankfully my search bore fruit rather quickly as I found this handy dandy visor repair kit for Jeep Wrangler sun visors.
It has been a couple of weeks now as of writing this post and I am very pleased to report that that do in fact solve the problem. My sun visors have not fallen off since installation. The process to install them was very easy and only took a few minutes. It was as simple as removing two screws on each side and replacing them, screwing on the repair part with the new longer screws.
As far as Jeep Wrangler accessories and modifications go, this sun visor repair kit may not be the flashiest, but boy oh boy has it improved my Jeep life.
The Car Play Screen
I’ll be honest, folks. I bought my 2018 JL used. It was the first car I have ever owned that had a touch screen. You can imagine my disappointment when I realized that my fancy touch screen display did not support car play. Which, to be fair, makes sense given that the screen itself is so small it reminds me of a Gameboy Color. Navigating via itty bitty maps doesn’t sound like my favorite. But fear not, my friends. Where there is a will, there is a way.
I found the way. This accessory makes navigation easier with a 9” display and allows me to focus on getting to where I’m going instead of fumbling with my phone. From controlling my music to displaying my navigation, this screen makes driving simpler.
The screen mounts like any regular phone mount so there is no need to worry about any crazy installation or having to remove or replace any parts. It’s as simple and plugging it in, mounting it up, and conneting your bluetooth.
My personal favorite set up is to use my car’s tiny screen for the compass now. I love it so much.
Storage + Organization
Now, I’ll be perfectly honest with yall. I don’t actually own this yet. My jeep came preowned with the center console compartment still in it but the rest of them were removed. Such a shame. Regardless, these little guys are at the top of my to-buy list.
As it is without them, I’m piling random items around my parking brake and moving them when they get in the way of engaging the brake itself. Not the best system. All those extra spots for all the little things like sunglasses and phones would solve that problem in a jiffy!
